Zürs offers gentle nursery slopes, which are located beside the village centre. There's excellent blue and red terrain with long, wide, groomed runs ideal for complete beginners.
Tremendous terrain for the intermediate skier with countless opportunities. With its amazing ski-in, ski-out location this area offers a huge variety of blue and red runs. Try your hand at the red 144 run from the Muggengrat summit back to town - you'll be rewarded with dramatic scenery and wonderful views of Zürs from above.
The best and the most challenging off-piste skiing can be found in Zürs with plenty of testing black runs and routes. Feel the rush of adrenalin when you take on the Langerzuf ungroomed, black run. It's one for the more advanced skiier and starts from the top of the Rufikopf lift and leads you back down to the neighbouring village of Lech.
The well-prepared trails, for both classic and skating styles, in Zürs more than satisfy cross-country skiers of all abilities. The tracks, which can be accessed free-of-charge, are found amidst the beautiful Alpine mountain landscape and in the lovely, shady valley which run along the river to Zug.
The mountains in Zürs offer an awful lot of off-piste for the more advanced skiers. Deep powder snow is in abundance here, and the 5.5km Madloch descent is the longest powder snow run in the area - it's guaranteed to leave you feeling pumped, and with fantastic views, it's one you'll want to do again and again. You could also treat yourself to some heliskiing - Zürs is one of two Austrian villages you can do it in.
The diverse terrain in Zürs - almost exclusively connected by chairlifts - offers miles of piste and powder fields. The Snowpark Lech allows you to show off on 17 obstacle courses which are groomed daily into different ability levels - the Fun Run, Rail and Pro lines. The park covers an area of 1.2km and has plenty of pipes, jumps and slides to keep you busy. Look out for the flat and uphill sections on Zürs' west-facing slopes though.
