So what's it like?
No resort is more famous for its amazing powder back bowls
Vail is one of the world's top ski resorts with superb accommodation and an attractive alpine style village centre with a fabulous après ski atmosphere. It is also the largest single mountain ski area in America, stretching 7 miles from east to west and caters for everyone, with smooth groomed runs through to challenging cornices and off piste back bowls. The newly redeveloped Lionshead area of Vail is located at the base of the gondola with its own great selection of bars, shops, restaurants and an ice skating rink.
