So what's it like?
A winter paradise for skiers and non-skiers alike
Twice venue for the Winter Olympics, Seefeld is an attractive village set on a sunny plateau close to the Tirolean capital, Innsbruck. It is an international ski resort with separate ski areas for beginners and intermediates as well as floodlit night skiing accessed by a weatherproof chairlift with heated seats. Seefeld has an excellent range of shops, bars and cafés as well as a great choice of non-skiing activities, excursions and a superb sports centre. There's an extensive network of cross-country ski trails for serious cross-country skiers and it's also a beautiful area to learn in. Seefeld is an excellent choice for groups of mixed ability skiers or groups including non-skiers.

Ski information
Ski Information Beginners
For a gentle introduction to skiing, Seefeld's superb ski school and slopes are highly recommended. Pre-booked lessons begin on the Geigenbühel beginners' area, perfect for mastering those snowplough turns.
Ski Information Intermediates
The Gschwandtkopf is close to the village centre and caters mostly for lower intermediates. From the other end of the village, a mountain railway allows you to travel in comfort up to the Rosshütte, offering more challenging pistes for intermediates.
Ski Information Advanced
While adventurous experts may find the area limiting, there are one or two runs on the Rosshütte which should not be taken lightly. The upper slopes of the Seefelder Joch are often heavily mogulled and the off-piste on the far side of the Härmelekopf is excellent, but should only be tackled with a guide.
