More about the skiing in Bad Hofgastein

  • So what's it like?

Miles of piste, extensive off-piste and wonderfully relaxing spas

The extensive Gasteinertal ski area is one of the largest in Austria. The attractive town of Bad Hofgastein has a bustling centre and excellent amenities, not to mention the famous spas. Bad Hofgastein is a relatively quiet resort with cobbled streets and a relaxed approach to après ski. The skiing and boarding is superb - you need almost never take the same piste twice in a week, and if you head off-piste with a guide the area almost doubles again!
